Dhirendra Krishna Shastri is a religious public figure hailing from India. He also known as Bageshwar Dham Sarkar Maharaj. He is the peethdish, meaning the Pujari or priest, of the Bageshwar Dham Sarkar, which is a religious site of pilgrimage located in the Chhatarpur district in Madhya Pradesh, India. Early Life
Dhirendra Krishna Shastri was born on 4th of July, 1996 in the Gada village in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh. As of now, he is 26 years old. His mother’s name is Saroj Garg and his father’s name isand his father’s name is Ram Kripal Garg. His parents have three children in total and he is the eldest. He has a younger brother and a sister. Dhirendra Krishna Shastri brought up a Hindu family and he was a Saryupareen Brahmin. His father is also a priest.
According to reports, Dhirendra Krishna Shastri spent his childhood in extreme poverty and they lived in a kutcha house, which is a house made of clay or mud, rather than bricks or cement. His father was not an active provider in their household for which lack of food was a recurring problem in their home, requiring him mother to work in order to put food on the table. When he was a child, he narrated stories to the people of his village.

Dhirendra Krishna Shastri pursued his school from Madhya Pradesh. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree. The subject in which he got a degree not known. He can speak four languages – Bundeli, Hindi, Sanskrit and English.

Controversial Things
Dhirendra Krishna Shastri has found himself in a lot of controversy. He accused of using mentalism on his devotees in order to make himself look like a god figure in front of the public. Shastri came into focus when he was challenged by Shyam Manav, an Indian rationalist, and questioned of his spiritual powers by him. Shyam Manav also accused Dhirendra Krishna of promoting blind faith. To all this, Dhirendra Krishna Shastri replied by saying that he was just a servant of Bageshwar Balaji, doing what he inspired to do. He also invited Manav to his Divya Darbar.
Another time he pushed into a controversial situation was when the All India Superstition Eradication Committee (Akhil Bhartiya Andhashraddha Nirmulan Samiti) filed a complaint to Nagpur Police against Shastri under the anti-superstition act. The chairman of the committee, Shyam Manav, claimed that witchcraft and black magic being performed under the guise of spirituality and devotion, and that ordinary people were being looted in the name of religion. However, no grounds for prosecution were discovered after police investigation.
